Russian comedian Alexander Gudkov faces a prison term for a parody video for Shaman's song “I'm Russian”.

Artur Shlykov, the head of the public movement Civil Committee of Russia, considered inciting ethnic hatred in a satirical work and submitted an official request to the Russian prosecutor's office. He asked to open a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code “Inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity.”
The article provides for a fine of 500,000 rubles or a term of two to five years in a colony.
