Colonel who carried Putin's nuclear briefcase tried to commit suicide

Retired Federal Security Service Colonel Vlad Zimin was in charge of the portfolio of Russian nuclear controls – always accompanied the Kremlin leader.
He was found with gunshot wounds in the kitchen of his apartment in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region. He was lying in a pool of blood with a head wound, and an Izh 79-9TM traumatic pistol was lying nearby.
According to Mirror, 53-year-old Zimin is in serious condition in intensive care.
