Defense Minister Benny Gantz conducted a situational assessment in the field of security against the backdrop of renewed rocket attacks.

Based on the results of the meeting, it was decided that the Erez checkpoint will remain closed to workers from Gaza on Monday, April 25. All subsequent decisions regarding the checkpoint will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Earlier, Hamas threatened to intensify the escalation if entry from Gaza through the Erez checkpoint was closed.
