Jerusalem clashes are worst in 30 years

Jerusalem District Police Chief Doron Turgeman said clashes in Jerusalem between security forces and Arab rioters “are the most significant in 30 years.”

Turgeman also reported that during the attack, during which Arabs threw stones at a bus full of Jews on their way to the Wailing Wall, an Arab driver from Wadi Juz stopped in front of the bus, jumped out of the car and began calling for the Jews to be attacked.

According to Turgeman, “the police arrived within ten minutes.”

Turgeman said the police would “continue to enforce religious freedom in the capital.”
