China executes killer of popular blogger

A Chinese man was executed for killing his ex-wife.
The woman, known as Lamu, was a popular blogger on the Chinese Douyin network, according to the BBC. She went to the police about her husband Tan Lu's abuse but was told it was a “family matter”.
The couple divorced in June 2020. About three months later, Tang Lu doused his ex-wife in gasoline and set it on fire. Lamu suffered burns to 90% of her body and died two weeks later.
