In Ehime prefecture on the Japanese island of Shikoku, 130,000 chickens will be destroyed due to an outbreak of bird flu.
The virus was found on one of the local poultry farms, and all birds, those grown there are to be destroyed, Kyodo reports.
Avian influenza has been raging in Japan for several months now. In total, about 400 thousand chickens were destroyed.
