Captagon: Jordan confiscated a ton of amphetamines on the border with Iraq

Jordan has confiscated one tonne of amphetamine pills that it tried to smuggle out of Iraq in packages of date paste.
A total of six million were found in two refrigerated trucks pills of a drug known as Captagon.
The Jordanian Customs Agency said it was one of the largest shipments of the drug ever intercepted.
Captagon, nicknamed “poor man's cocaine” ;, is produced in huge quantities in Syria, which has turned into a narco-state after a decade of war.
