Cannes film festival moved through 2020 coronavirus
On 17 March, the President of France Emmanuel macron announced a nationwide quarantine and called on all French people to stay at home. It has become a problem for 12 thousand homeless who live in the country.
In Cannes, where in mid-may, had to pass the famous film festival, the problem was solved simply: Palace of festivals given in order to place homeless people living on the French Riviera. About it reports France 24.
“Every night we have 50 to 70 people”, – said the representative of the Cannes city hall Dominique Ed-Lasse.
At the entrance to the Palais des festivals the guard measures the temperature of each homeless. Inside their dining area, shower and space with a TV and Board games, and in the large hall are three rows of cots for sleeping. Also on location are 4 boxes on the case that homeless people come with dogs.
