Bulgaria signed an agreement with Framatome on the supply of nuclear fuel for the sixth power unit of the Kozloduy NPP
The Bulgarian state nuclear power plant Kozloduy agreed with the French company Framatome on the supply of nuclear fuel (NP ) for the sixth power unit with a capacity of 1000 MW.
This is already the second step of this nuclear power plant to diversify the supply of nuclear fuel and reduce dependence on Russia after the station signed a similar contract for the fifth power unit with the American company Westinghouse in late December.
The new fuel is planned to be used between 2025-2034.
