British prison worker on trial for having sex with a prisoner

Former prison warden Joanne Hunter, 27, is on trial in Manchester and Salford after she smuggled marijuana and a mobile phone into prison for a prisoner with whom she had an inappropriate relationship, reports MailOnline .
Joanne Hunter, 27, was charged with conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office. It is noted that she allegedly maintained a relationship while working at HMP Forest Bank in Salford.
She was also charged with smuggling a banned mobile phone and cannabis into prison in December 2020.
More Hunter, from Bury, Greater Manchester, is due to appear for a pre-trial hearing at Manchester Crown Court on March 23.
Her LinkedIn page indicates she has been a prison guard since December 2018 to December 2020.
It also states that she is a graduate of Applied Social Science and Research and an MA in Childhood and Adolescence Studies from the University of Bedfordshire.
