The story of The 1975 began in 2002. In Manchester activists organized a series of concerts for young people. Frontman Matthew Healy, guitarist Adam Hann met there. Later joined bassist Ross MacDonald and drummer George Daniel. First steps to glory was heavy. The boys were teenagers, their musical tastes were limitless, and the first concerts they gave to several people in the pubs, singing the iconic punk hits.
Debut full length album, The 1975, came out in 2013 – 11 years after the founding of the group. And in 2016 – the second I Like It When You Sleep for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It. To the surprise of many both albums went platinum in the U.S. and Britain, and the number of fans grew.
The new release is A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships. All the singles from this album charted in the top 75 of the British charts songs. Material the band recorded so much that in may will be released another LP – Notes on a Conditional Form, which will continue to develop the theme of its predecessor – about what makes a global network with people. From the frequent use of social networking and the introduction of search queries, people become insecure, angry, vulnerable and simply forget to live life in reality, preferring to translate everything in the plane is “web”.
