 UK may ban laughing gas

Prohibition on the sale and use of “laughing gas” is being considered by the UK government.

The proposed ban on nitrous oxide, which can have devastating side effects, is part of the fight against anti-social behavior, according to the BBC.

Current UK law prohibits knowingly or recklessly use of nitrous oxide for inhalation, but the kingdom is calling for a ban on all direct-to-consumer sales as part of a tightening of the widely used drug law.

Nitrous oxide was “one of the most commonly used drugs among 16 24-year-olds in England".
