 Britain, Japan and Italy will develop a new generation fighter

Japan, Great Britain and Italy will create a new generation fighter by 2035. Britain's BAE Systems, Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Italy's Leonardo will lead development, according to the Japanese Defense Ministry. The fighter will have advanced digital capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence and cyber warfare. The European missile manufacturer MBDA will also join the project. Mitsubishi Electric, Rolls-Royce, IHI and Avio Aero will work on the engine. The three countries have yet to work out the details of how the project will develop, including the distribution of work and the location where development will take place.
