the days are also highlighted in pink with the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center in New York, "Eiffel Tower" in Paris, the Fortress in Milan, the Sydney Opera House, the Tokyo Tower, European castles, the largest waterfalls and much more.

The campaign was founded 30 years ago by Evelyn Lauder herself, who was involved in the creation of the pink ribbon and the founding of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), and is the largest social action of the Estee Lauder group of companies.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Campaign in Israel is part of Estee Lauder's global campaign spanning over 70 countries and supporting over 60 organizations. The global action has already raised over $108 million, which has been used to support research, educational activities and medical services. The bulk of the $86 million went to fund 152 BCRF research projects over the past 20 years. Over 180 million pink ribbons have been distributed around the world with one goal: to create a world free of breast cancer.

In Israel, the campaign is run by the Estee Lauder group of companies in conjunction with the Cancer Association.

As part of a joint campaign, this year the Tel Aviv Museum of Fine Arts will be illuminated with pink light. The museum, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, is Israel's most visited museum and is ranked 56th in the world's top 100 museums.
objects around the world, which will be highlighted in pink throughout October.

The Estée Lauder Group Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign was created to make a difference in the global breast cancer community. This year, we are united on a mission to end breast cancer, relentlessly raise awareness of the disease, drive progress, and ultimately find a cure for the disease through the advancement of research, education, and medical services.

“Estee Lauder has been working to raise awareness about breast cancer in Israel for 20 years, – says Oren Revah, CEO of the Estée Lauder group of companies in Israel. – The purpose of this project – most important: to remind all Israeli women that a timely examination saves lives. We are delighted to be partnering with the Tel Aviv Museum and believe that its pink illumination can serve as a real reminder to women to get tested.

“We are fighting breast cancer on all fronts, – Moshe Bar-Chaim, Director General of the Association for the Fight against Cancer, says. – From scientific research, promotion of prevention methods and advocacy of early detection to improved methods of treatment and rehabilitation. Estée Lauder's readiness to participate in this struggle every year for 20 years deserves appreciation and the highest praise. I urge women to adopt a healthy lifestyle that reduces the risk of getting sick, while at the same time getting tested for early detection of cancer, which is the most effective way to beat the disease and increases the chances of a cure to about 90%. I call on all women — at any age and in any situation: if you feel a lump or any change in the mammary gland, it is very important to see a doctor.

Tanya Cohen-Uziali, CEO, Tel Aviv Museum of Fine Arts: “Tel Aviv Museum of Art is proud to be involved in and supporting important activities to raise awareness of early detection and treatment of breast cancer. The museum joins hundreds of the world's largest natural and architectural sites and leading cultural institutions around the world to inspire and encourage the fight against breast cancer. The facade of the museum is painted pink until the end of October every evening from 18:00 until dawn."
