Braille-to-audio app developed in India
|
An Indian developer has created an app that can translate Braille for blind people into plain text and audio with 95% accuracy. The app reads the text when you point your smartphone's camera at Braille.
The developer trained the model on font samples, he prepared the base himself. Then he used the computing power provided by Google.
The Indian explained that the model is ready, but it lacks an interface to interact with tools such as Google Assistant.
