 Bomb letters in Spain: Suspect arrested

Police in Spain have arrested a man suspected of being involved in the recent mailing of letters with bombs to state institutions, including the Ukrainian embassy.

This is reported by AFP, citing a statement from the Ministry of the Interior country.

The detainee was a 74-year-old citizen of Spain. He was arrested in Miranda de Ebro in the north of the country. His house is being searched.

Recall that reports of mailing letters with bombs first appeared in November. The most famous targets were the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and foreign diplomats in Spain.

A total of six bombs were sent in late November and early December last year, mostly in Madrid. during the investigation, a Russian trace was found. According to investigators, Russian special services were behind the mass mailing of explosive letters.
