The Military Court of Appeal granted the military prosecutor's request to detain the father of the terrorist who killed five people in Bnei Brak in March of this year.
Haruts Sheva reports this.
Earlier, a military court in Samaria ruled to release the father of the terrorist Dia Hamarsh, who carried out the attack in Bnei Brak. The terrorist's father was a serious instigator and encouraged further attacks. However, the judge concluded that it was “difficult to judge the behavior of a grieving father.”
After that, the military prosecutor's office requested that Father Hamarsh's detention be extended until the end of his trial, arguing that he was dangerous and could abscond or avoid trial.
The military appeals court sided with the prosecution, allowing security forces to continue to hold the defendant in custody until the end of the trial.
