US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said he was concerned about the recent violence, deaths and tensions in Judea and Samaria.
Blinken expressed his concern in a conversation with the outgoing prime minister of Israel by Yair Lapid, reports the Jerusalem Post.
During the conversation, the U.S. representative stressed his deep concern about the situation in Judea and Samaria, including rising tensions, violence and deaths of both Israelis and Palestinians, and emphasized the need for all sides urgently de-escalate the situation.”
In addition, the US Secretary of State praised Israel for holding fair and free elections, and thanked Lapid for his work.
“The Secretary of State confirmed the strength of bilateral relations between the United States and Israel” State Department spokesman Ned Price said.
