Blinken: “Abandoning the two-state solution hurts Israel”

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that “the rejection of the two-state solution is detrimental to Israel's future as a Jewish and democratic state.”

“This is why we call on both sides to take urgent steps to restore calm and de-escalate”… we want to create an environment in which, I hope, at some point there will be a sense of security for both Israelis and Palestinians, which, of course, is sorely lacking,” Blinken said.
