Avian flu: hunting banned in Israel

Minister of the Environment Tamar Sandberg signed an order banning hunting.

It will be in effect until the end of the current season – the end of January.

This is due to an outbreak of bird flu.

The virus is spreading to other species, such as cats, weasels and pigs. In rare cases, even people.
