Bird flu detected in the north of the Netherlands

The Dutch government said on Monday that another 29,000 chickens will be culled from a farm in the north of the country after a highly contagious strain of bird flu was discovered.

The Jerusalem Post reported.

Fermana is located in the town of Kudum, 100 kilometers west of Groningen.

This is the third case of bird flu in the country in recent days, and the sixth this month after dozens of cases earlier in the year.
