BioNTech CEO: COVID will have to live for the next 10 years
The world is getting better prepared every day to fight future strains of coronavirus.
Ugur Sahin, CEO of BioNTech, made this statement in a commentary to AFP.
“We'll have to get used to living with the virus for the next 10 years,” — Shaheen noted.
The surge in infections due to the Omicron strain appears to have subsided, he said. Shaheen explained that the emergence of new strains will be inevitable as the virus continues to mutate.
“The world is entering a phase where society better understands how to deal with the virus. We are always learning more and getting better prepared”, — he added.
