To expand these capabilities, Samsung is launching SmartThings Home Life this June around the world. A connection center that brings together six essential home services: cooking, energy, clothing care, pet care, air care, and home care. SmartThings Home Life allows users to customize how their devices work together based on the services they need.

In addition, by adjusting the settings of appliances such as lighting, air conditioners, air purifiers, etc., you can make your home more comfortable and safer for your pet while you are away.
Helping the environment has long been at the heart of Samsung's product design. The latest Bespoke home appliances are no exception. All of them are designed with a sustainable product lifecycle in mind from start to finish.
It is designed to be as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible. For example, starting from manufacturing, Samsung aims to prevent soil pollution by minimizing waste generated in factories, including glass shards. In this vein, Samsung also recycles liquid materials like used oil and paint into fuel so they can be used later. In fact, Samsung's digital manufacturing capacity in Korea reached an industrial waste recycling rate of 93% in 2019, which increased to 98% in 2021. Samsung will continue to increase its recycling rate in the future.
When it comes to food delivery, Samsung is curbing its overreliance on natural resources by using eco-friendly packaging that consumers can use at home. Samsung is also offering digital manuals via QR codes to reduce the production of paper manuals.
Samsung refrigerators use an advanced digital inverter compressor, and Samsung washing machines use technology such as AI Ecobubble&trade. Thanks to these innovative technologies, Samsung has been able to reduce energy consumption by 67% for bottom-mounted refrigerators from 2000 to 2020 and by 53% for drum-type washing machines from 2011 to 2020. The result of these efforts has been recognized with the – Energy Star certified. In fact, all front-loading washing machines and dishwashers, as well as 91% of Samsung refrigerators sold in the US, are Energy Star certified. For Samsung users, this means lower energy bills while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
SmartThings Energy can also help users save energy by turning off devices when not in use, as well as adjusting blinds and air conditioners, reducing energy waste and creating eco-friendly habits at home.
Finally, for any household appliance, proper disposal at the end of the product's life cycle is of paramount importance throughout the sustainability process. To ensure a longer lifespan for home appliances, starting in July, Samsung is offering a 20-year warranty, the longest warranty offered by Samsung in Europe and the US, for key home appliance components such as digital inverter motors and digital inverter compressors for products. bespoke.
