The school year will start on Wednesday, September 1, as planned.
This statement was made by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett following the results meetings with senior education and health officials.
According to Bennett, the rules are “green standard” will apply to educators, meaning they must be vaccinated, or be cured of COVID-19, or have a negative coronavirus test to get to work.
Those who are not vaccinated will need to take test twice a week.
For unrestricted classroom instruction, starting from seventh grade and older, at least 70% of students in each grade must receive one dose of vaccine on September 1, and September 30 – 70% or more of students will need to have both vaccinations already.
