Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke with Pfizer CEO Albert Burla.
According to Bennett, the first batch of pills will arrive to Israel on Wednesday, December 29, after which they will be immediately distributed among the health insurance funds.
Pfizer tablets are considered an innovative anti-coronavirus drug that combines two active ingredients. Pfizer says the drug is effective against all types of coronavirus, including the Omicron strain, and is cutting hospital admissions and deaths by 90%.
Last week, the FDA approved the use of Pfizer pills. They should be taken for 5 days, once every 12 hours, and, unlike other drugs against coronavirus, their use does not require medical supervision.
