Ben Gvir ordered demolition of Palestinian houses in East Jerusalem during Ramadan

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has instructed police to continue demolishing illegally built Palestinian houses in East Jerusalem during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, KAN reported.

Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, begins at the end of this month.

It is reported that Israel has not demolished houses during Ramadan in recent years to avoid tensions with the Palestinians.
While Palestinians view the Israeli demolition policy as an attempt to force them out of East Jerusalem, the Israeli authorities consider these houses to be built illegally, without permission.

Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth reports that the Israeli police Ben-Gvira warned that the fasting month of Ramadan could be extremely volatile, as the situation is already tense to the limit, in particular in Judea and Samaria.
