Belarus: Girlfriend of NEXTA Ex-Chief Editor Sentenced to Six Years in Prison
|In Belarus, a court sentenced the girlfriend of the former editor-in-chief of NEXTA Sofia Sapega to six years in prison. According to local media, Protasevich's girlfriend was found guilty on seven counts. In particular, she was accused of inciting hatred and social discord, illegal dissemination of personal data and threats to security forces. Recall that she was detained together with Protasevich a year ago. As part of the “operation”, a Ryanair plane was urgently landed, on which they flew to Vilnius.
