In Chile, local beekeepers held a rally in front of the presidential palace in Santiago.

Beekeepers wanted to draw the government's attention to the drought in the country, which caused the population to decline bees. The protesters brought with them to the palace about 60 hives, which contained about 10,000 bees.

People demanded to raise the price of honey or provide subsidies to its producers. Law enforcers tried to disperse the beekeepers, but they were bitten by bees. As a result of the incident, seven police officers had to be hospitalized.
