Queen Elizabeth II Barbie doll sold out in three seconds

The limited-edition Barbie dolls, made especially for the 70th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, were sold out in three seconds. “John Lewis reported that sold out all the items in stock in three seconds,” writes the Guardian newspaper.

However, most sellers on eBay are hoping to sell the sought-after collectibles for at least double the price.
The dolls have sold out for 95 pounds sterling. The toy is one of the souvenirs for the celebration of the platinum anniversary of the reign of the British Queen, which will be widely celebrated in June.

The doll's face almost completely repeats the face of Queen Elizabeth. At the same time, her outfit in the form of an ivory dress with a blue ribbon is similar to those dresses that the Queen prefers to wear for official photos. However, instead of white gloves, the doll's hands are adorned with mittens.

Doll maker Mattel has confirmed that the limited collection has already been sold out in the UK, but hinted that a new batch of goods may arrive. EBay online sales start at £180 ($220), almost double the initial price.
