Deputy Commander of the Azov Regiment Captain Svyatoslav Palamar called for the evacuation of civilians who continue to be on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, as well as wounded soldiers.
“Once again, the Russians violated the ceasefire promise and prevented the evacuation of civilians who continue to hide from shelling in the basements of the plant. I call on the world community to evacuate the civilians,” Palamar said in a video message.
He also appealed to the Supreme Commander, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for the evacuation of the wounded defenders of Mariupol and the removal of the bodies of the dead military.
“I personally appeal to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to take care of the wounded soldiers who are dying in terrible agony without proper treatment. Give the opportunity to pick up the bodies of soldiers so that Ukrainians can say goodbye to their heroes. Respond properly to a critical situation in which the enemy does not comply with any ethical norms, conventions and laws, destroying people in front of the whole world, guided by permissiveness and impunity,” he said.
According to him, the third day has already begun, as the Russians broke into the territory of Azovstal, heavy bloody battles are going on there. “The defenders of the city have been fighting for the 71st day against superior enemy forces and, damn it, show such endurance and heroism that Ukraine should know what it means to be loyal to the Motherland,” Palamar stressed.
