Australian Open Tennis Championships have banned all players who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus from attending the tournament in January.
tournament head Craig Teeley.
The announcement calls into question whether the reigning champion Novak Djokovic will participate in the event.
The tennis player refused to disclose his vaccination status.
'' Fans, all staff and players will need to be vaccinated. There was a lot of speculation about Novak's position, but he said it was everyone's personal business. We'd love to see Novak here, but he knows he needs to get vaccinated to play, '' Teeley said.
