Australia is the first in the world to start celebrating Lag B'Omer

Australia is the first in the world to start celebrating Lag B'Omer. According to Aruts Sheva, the celebration began with a tribute to the memory of the 45 who died on Mount Meron last year.

The event featured a Mitzvah for Meron wall. The participants of the event, mostly children, could write a mitzvah and do a good deed in memory of the 45 victims of the tragedy that occurred on Mount Meron.
