Syrian President Bashar al-Assad called the situation catastrophic after the earthquake.
“Everything possible will be done to restore the affected areas and help people,” Assad said.
Earthquakes in Turkey and Syria began on February 7. The death toll from earthquakes in Turkey reached 18,342, injured – 74,242, and more than 3,000 people died in Syria.
