Ashdod: woman beaten to death with a hammer

On the evening of February 21, a 40-year-old woman died from her injuries after being attacked by a man who entered her apartment and hit her with a hammer.

Her husband, who was arrested police, and his involvement in the incident has not yet been established, testified that another man had beaten her and fled the apartment. The Ashdod police launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, and are now also investigating her ex-husband.

It was the woman's husband who tried to report the incident to the police, but dialed 102 by mistake, after which the fire and rescue services reported this to the police. The woman and her ex-husband have children, and police have investigated violent incidents between them in the past. The woman has no children from her current husband, who was found at the scene, there were no other people at the scene of the incident.
