Ash: “If there is no improvement, we will recommend quarantine”
|Ministry of Health Director-General Professor Nachman Ash said in an interview with News 13 tonight that next week will be “critical”; for his ministry.
“If it turns out that the numbers are rising rapidly, we will have to seriously think about quarantine”.
“If we see a decrease in cases and infections after the fourth vaccine , then we can talk about lowering the age group for vaccination of the rest of the population.
Among other things, the director general of the Ministry of Health referred to data according to which antigen tests are less reliable: tests because we had enough more accurate PCR kits. Omicron has changed the game with big numbers. Antigen testing is less sensitive than PCR, but sufficient to detect verified viruses at relatively high levels”.
