Approved: Schools Will Not Move To Distance Learning

Approved: schools will not switch to distance learning

The Education Committee approved: schools in red settlements will not be required to “ cut contacts ''. The principal of the school where the infected student is found is not required to transfer students to distance learning.

In grades one through four, the principal of the school where the infected student is identified will try as much as possible to “ reduce contacts '' ; between students, but will not be required to do so. This will allow students to continue their studies at school and not remotely.

& ldquo; Reducing contacts & rdquo; means: teaching in an open space inside or outside the school, teaching students in a large room, such as teaching in gyms, hybrid teaching or online teaching. In schools in the red settlements, where no infected students have been found, education will continue as usual.

Chairman of the Education Committee, MP Sharen Haskell, said that the new rules are applied specifically for schools, and not for the city.
