Anti-Semitic incidents in France fall

The number of reported anti-Semitic incidents in France in 2022 decreased compared to the previous year.
The Service for the Protection of the Jewish Community (SPCJ) and the French Ministry of the Interior released a report stating, that there were 436 anti-Semitic incidents in 2022, down from 589 the previous year. Arutz Sheva reports this.
But Jonathan Arfi, president of CRIF, an umbrella organization representing French Jewish institutions, warned the data was misleading.
” Obviously the decline is good news, but it needs to be put into perspective,” he said.
According to Arfi, the report examined “only the numbers recorded in police stations.”
