Angelina Jolie defeated Brad Pitt in court
The actress will be able to sell her part of the common property.
Angelina Jolie has received permission from the court to sell her shares in the winery and estate Chateau Miraval, where she married Brad Pitt, a third party. Quimicum is the company that owns the castle. She later went to court to authorize the sale, despite the fact that the divorce was not yet finalized (now there is a division of property and a fight for custody of children).
Brad Pitt's Mondo Bongo company separately filed a lawsuit against the actress's company Nouvel over the property to retain a majority stake and be the first to buy back Angelina's shares.
When they first acquired their shares in Quimicum in 2008, their personal companies split ownership of 60-40, with Mondo Bongo acquired a majority stake. In 2013, the distribution was 50-50. The documents claimed that Brad sold Angelina shares in 2013 “at a symbolic price of 1 euro, which is below the true value of her share.”
Brad wanted the transfer of shares has been canceled.
