Former world chess champion and State Duma deputy Anatoly Karpov told aif.ru that he ended up at the Sklifosovsky Institute due to a head injury sustained in a fall.
“I really lay at the Sklifosovsky Institute, in a rather difficult state. <…> I slipped, fell and received a not too serious concussion, but the consequences of this fall were far from being so deplorable, — he said.
The politician denied rumors that he was hospitalized with broken ribs, legs and other parts of his body. Also, he was not attacked by strangers.
At the hospital, the doctors discovered he had problems with his lungs, so he had to stay in the medical facility.
