The US has launched an investigation into the deaths resulting from the destruction of an Amazon warehouse in Illinois after a tornado.
At least six people have died as a result Accidents.
According to Scott Allen, Regional Director of Public Affairs, US Department of Labor, the OSHA has six months to complete its investigation and issue fines in the event of violations of safety rules in the workplace. < br />
Inspectors work at the scene. Amazon has yet to comment on an investigation statement.
Relatives of warehouse employee victims have previously reported that Amazon prioritizes productivity over employee health and safety. They wonder why the workers were forced to stay in the warehouse when the tornado warning was issued a few days before the tragedy.
