An earthquake hit off the coast of Fukushima and the Kuril Islands

An earthquake with a seismic intensity of 3 on the Richter scale occurred in Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures. In addition, aftershocks of 2 and 1 were observed in different parts of Tohoku and Kanto.
&ldquo ;The aftershocks were observed in the cities of Soma and Kunimi in Fukushima prefecture, as well as in the city of Ishinomaki in Miyagi prefecture”,– according to local publications.
According to the observations of the Japan Meteorological Agency, the epicenter was located off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, at a depth of 60 kilometers and an estimated magnitude of 4.9.
Russian media reported that that also today recorded an earthquake near the Kuril Islands with a magnitude of 5.8 points.
