An amazing phenomenon: a pillar of water between sea and sky in Ashdod

On the morning of January 3, during the rain in Ashdod, an amazing natural phenomenon was recorded – a real pillar of water arose between the sea and the sky.

Such a phenomenon is possible when large masses of clouds lie over the waves, combined with vertical air currents. Small pillars of water appear around the Israeli coast every year, but it is a great success to catch a phenomenon of this magnitude on camera.

At first glance, it seems that water from the sea is being pumped into the sky. In fact, this is just an optical illusion. in fact, we see the evaporation of sea water, as a result of condensation and wind forming a pillar shape.
