Alec Baldwin is selling his Hampton house cheaply due to legal problems

Actor Alec Baldwin lowered the price of his Hampton estate by more than $4 million last week, just days before it was announced he would be charged charged with the fatal manslaughter of cameraman Galina Hutchins on the set of Rust.

New Mexico prosecutors announced Thursday that Baldwin, the producer and star of the Western, will be charged with two counts of manslaughter. He was holding a gun that fired, killing Hutchins and injuring the film's director, Joel Souza, on October 21, 2021.

Baldwin's multi-hectare property in Amagansett first went on the market in November at a price of $29 million . Last week, the price was reduced to $24.9 million.

At the heart of the estate is a modern farmhouse of over 1,000 m². The four-bedroom home features a kitchen-dining room, movie theater, tasting room, and wood-paneled library. In addition, there are covered verandas and two balconies overlooking the surrounding nature reserve.
Adjacent to the pavilion with stone fireplace is a shotcrete pool and spa, as well as a vegetable garden.
Mr. Baldwin, 64, called the estate has been his home since 1996, when he bought it for $1.75 million.
