Actress and TV host Whoopi Goldberg 'sincerely apologizes' after the scandalous statements about the Holocaust. She previously hinted again that the Holocaust was race-related.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Goldberg said she tried to convey her past remarks on the topic.

It was never my intention to appear that I was doubling down on hurtful comments, especially after talking and hearing comments from people like rabbis, friends old and new. I'm still learning a lot and trust me, I've heard everything I've been told .I believe that the Holocaust was about race, and I am as sorry now as I was then that I upset, offended and angered people. Once again, my sincere apologies, especially to anyone who thought this was a fresh paraphrase of the topic. I promise I'm not,” Goldberg said.

The actress emphasized, “In this time of rising anti-Semitism, I want to be very clear when I say that I have always supported the Jewish people and always will. My support for them has not wavered and will never waver.”
