 After the death of Elizabeth: the British Parliament holds a mourning session

The UK Parliament is holding a special meeting of mourning for the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Both Houses of Parliament sit on Friday and Saturday to allow politicians to honor the Queen after her death on Thursday.

The deputies honored the memory of the Queen with a moment of silence.

Prime Minister Liz Truss has already addressed the meeting, calling the Queen one of the world's greatest leaders, BBC reports. .

Her predecessor, Boris Johnson, told MPs that “Elizabeth the Great” taught the nation “how to give, how to love and how to serve”.
