< br /> After that Alexander Filippenko left Russia. According to his daughter Alexandra, his father's departure “is connected with his position” in relation to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After the outbreak of the war, the artist was regularly denied access to venues for performances under various pretexts.

Alexandra recalled that on May 19, 2022, the artist posted his portrait in an embroidered shirt on Facebook.

” ;Dad decided to get his embroidered shirt and remember the wonderful days in Kiev, about Dovzhenko's studio, and wrote some words of love – first of all to friends who are there”, – said the actor's daughter.

Alexander Filippenko is now known to live in Vilnius.
