President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas sent a letter of gratitude to Saudi Arabia. The PA leader thanked the leadership of the Kingdom for the commitment, solidarity and firm stance towards the Palestinians, which were voiced during the summit with US President Joe Biden in Jeddah. According to Wafa, Abbas sent a letter to the king and crown prince of Saudi Arabia. “He expresses gratitude for their support for the national rights of our people and their just cause, emphasizing the end of the Israeli occupation of our land and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. He also thanks the fraternal countries participating in the summit for their firm and active stance on the Palestinian cause,” the message says.
