PA President Mahmoud Abbas and French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation today.
According to Palestinian news agency WAFA, Abbas and Macron discussed the latest political developments, the current dangerous situation in the Palestinian territories and ways to strengthen relations between France and the PA, as well as with the European Union. of the Palestinian people and their continued unilateral actions, especially in Jerusalem.”
“The Palestinian leadership is in the process of taking action to counter this escalation by Israel in light of the international community's failure to force Israel to comply with the resolution,” Abbas said, emphasizing that the current situation “cannot be tolerated or ignored.”
The PA leader also stressed the need for the international community to take deterrent measures against Israel's actions and stop applying double standards.
As noted, Macron sent an invitation to Abbas to visit France.
