A wave of protests against the new COVID restrictions went through Germany

A war of mass protests against new quarantine restrictions took place in Germany.

According to Deutsche Welle, about 30 thousand Germans took to the streets of Mecklenburg, Pomerania, Thuringia , Saxony and Bradenburg.

Protests were also held in Berlin, but there were no serious riots and clashes.

The protests were organized against new restrictive measures that began to operate from Jan. 7. It is known that now only vaccinated and ill people will be allowed to enter the country's institutions, if they have a negative test or booster vaccination.
