In Turkey, a girl married a man who doused her with sulfuric acid and disfigured her. The New York Post reports a grisly story.
Berfine Ozek was in a relationship with Kazim Ozan Celtic. The couple fought often, which led to a breakup. After that, Celtic attacked his ex-girlfriend.
Before pouring sulfuric acid on her face, he allegedly shouted, “If I can't own you, then no one will.” As a result, the girl's face was badly injured, and she partially lost her sight.
Celtic was arrested, but he begged forgiveness from the girl, and she withdrew her complaint. The incident received wide publicity, and under pressure from the public, Berfine Ozek again filed a complaint.
The court sentenced Kazim Celtic to 13.5 years in prison, but he was later released. After that Celtic proposed to Berfin, and she accepted it.
This became the reason for the indignation of the girl's family.
